• Search for preliminary art:
Specialized search for scientific literature and patents related to the topic of interest. This search enables us to establish the status of the technique regarding a specific invention and determine the feasibility of creating Industrial Property as a competitive edge for a new business.
• Patentability Analysis
An analysis of a specific invention is carried out to determine whether it complies with the requirements established by the authorities and Industrial Property laws to warrant protection provided by a patent. Moreover, this analysis helps establish a possible patent’s scope and limitations.
• Drafting of patents
The drafting of a patent application must comply with certain requirements established by authorities and Industrial Property laws including, for example, a clear and full description, the best known way to implement the invention and clear and concise claims that may not exceed the content of the description. These and other requirements emphasize how important it is to draft patent applications correctly, in order to obtain the best possible protection for the invention and minimize incidents while the patent is being processed.
• Patent application
Execution and/or advice during the application for a patent at the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), procuring an expedite and reliable monitoring of the process.
• Licensing
An option to commercially exploit a patent when one lacks the necessary infrastructure and resources. It consists in the owner of the patent negotiating a license with a company that is interested in commercially exploiting the invention in exchange for a participation in the royalties.
• Technological monitoring
Technological monitoring consists in a strategic search for worldwide tendencies regarding technological development, in order to know the kind of competition we face in both research and development and in the commercial field.
